Sarah Carter Biography
Sarah Carter was a serious dancer in her early years. While in school she also took part in several school plays including The Wizard of Oz, in which she played Dorothy. In school she was a member of the debate team, this allowed Sarah to travel all over the world. After graduating from high school Sarah took a year off to travel and see Europe. After her year off Sarah attended the Ryerson Theatre School in Toronto. While at Ryerson, during the performance of a monologue, Sarah was discovered. It didn't take long till Sarah had landed her first acting job with a guest appearance in the series Wolf Lake. Sarah quickly followed that spot with a small role on the show Dark Angel which starred Jessica Alba.
It didn't take long for Sarah to make the jump to the big screen. In 2001, Sarah was cast, along with Eric Roberts, Michael Ironside and Antonio Sabato Jr. in the psychological thriller Mindstorm. Sarah can also be seen in Final Destination 2.
When Sarah isn't hard at work she loves to pursue her first passion, dance. Sarah also likes going to the movies, reading a good book and is practitioner of Yoga. Sarah's father is a minister and she will often team up with him to distribute food to those less fortunate.
Arguably, Carter's most famous role is that of Alicia Baker, a krypto-mutant who can teleport at will and is obsessed with Clark Kent, on the WB Network TV series Smallville. She first appeared in the Season 3 episode Obsession, and reprised the role in two back-to-back Season 4 episodes, Unsafe and Pariah. Her character of Alicia Baker spawned a massive fan following, and she is considered one of the most popular guest stars to ever appear on the show.
